Planning Officer – Conservation

Full-time (35 hours per week), permanent
Salary £30,000 per annum (£16.48 p.h.)
We are looking for a qualified Planning Officer with an active interest in building conservation and the historic environment.
With an independent view and an analytic approach, you will coordinate responses to development proposals submitted to the Local Planning Authority, along with policy appraisal and consultation engagement. You will also be providing informed advice to historic homeowners and Members, particularly relating to listed buildings. This is a significant and important position and Bath Preservation Trust is proud of its role in the city to effect positive change to the built environment, through working with developers, the local planning authority, other amenity groups and Historic England. You will be joining an established and highly respected team.
BPT is an independent charity, which campaigns for and promotes the conservation, sustainable enhancement and celebration of the unique historic built environment and amenity, green setting and global contributions of the City of Bath as a World Heritage Site. We believe Bath deserves excellence in design and contemporary sustainable development which is inclusive of all people, and improves social and economic opportunities without compromising our unparalleled built heritage and natural environment.
