The World Heritage Site Enhancement Fund (WHSEF) was established in 2009, as a partnership between the World Heritage Site Advisory Board, Bath and North East Somerset Council, and Bath Preservation Trust.
It has 3 aims:
The WHESF has organised or participated in 50 schemes totalling over £300,000, and four structures have been removed from the Council’s Building at Risk register.
Details of the projects are outlined in the WHESF in the annual newsletter. Ideas for further projects, especially those involving the heritage on which the World Heritage inscription is based, are always welcome.

The WHEF’s ongoing programme of repairs to incised and painted street signs within the historic city won the Georgian Group Architectural Awards 2019!
