Trustees
To help us deliver our ambitious new strategy, we are looking for new Trustees to join us as integral and engaged contributors to our future.
Bath Preservation Trust (BPT) is a highly respected, award-winning charity based in the World Heritage City of Bath. We advocate and campaign for excellence in design and conservation planning to sustainably enhance the historic setting and appeal of the city, whilst enabling a thriving environment, community and economy. We also provide leading museums and learning experiences at four historic properties, including No. 1 Royal Crescent and the Herschel Museum of Astronomy.
BPT has emerged from Covid-19 as a stronger and more coherent organisation than it was before. We are about to launch our new strategy, Vision for 2030, which will see us return to full financial health, growing our income, reach and relevance to people. We are excited about how our role will influence carbon reduction in historic buildings, add value to the World Heritage designations, and positively contribute to the experience of residents, school children and visitors. We are also looking forward to two major capital projects in the next few years, which will see all of our sites reach their full potential.
Following a skills audit of exiting trustees, we are particularly looking to appoint new trustees with experience of the following:
- Town Planning
- Education
- Transport
- Private Sector – Business / Commercial / Retail
- HR

Selected trustees will need to become members of Bath Preservation Trust and will be nominated for appointment at the AGM in July.
