Become a Panel Member at Bath Preservation Trust

Join BPT’s Architecture Planning and Place Committee alongside other built and natural environment sector advisors to support the mission and purpose of the Trust.

Bath Preservation Trust is a non-profit organisation striving to ensure the future success of the city of Bath World Heritage Site through conservation, education and museums. BPT works collaboratively with communities, the LPA and development sector, and organisations with aligned principles to influence and high standards of planning, design and sustainable growth.

The panel is a multi-disciplinary group that meets once a month (second Tuesday 12-2.30pm) and communicates by email to review and assess complex planning and listed building consent applications in and surrounding Bath, and to maintain stakeholder engagement in local planning consultations and strategies.

We welcome applications from professionals with some experience of:

  • New build residential development
  • Major mixed-use development in heritage contexts
  • Masterplanning
  • Climate change mitigation and adaptation
  • Urban design
  • Local Plans
  • National planning policy and guidance
  • Conservation principles and the heritage planning framework
  • Landscape impact assessment
