The Italian Food Hall, 8 Edgar Buildings, City Centre
The Trust has already commented on the tables/chairs and dividers in a different application. Our comment for this application is to express concern regarding the use of vinyl on the shop front fascia, which is a poor quality material, and not in the traditional palette of materials suitable for use on historic listed buildings and inappropriate in the WHS. The fascia signage should be hand painted. The use of a name on the awning is acceptable if that is the only addition to the awning. It is not clear whether it is proposed to use logos on the dividers but this would add to visual clutter and should not be permitted.
