Tesco Express, Courthouse Place, Upper Bristol Road, Lower Weston

This application concerns the Tesco Express situated on Upper Bristol Road within the Bath conservation area and World Heritage site.

Whilst we have little comment regarding the movement of an existing sign, we have some concerns about the apparent lack of planning consent for the existing sign. We would recommend that the permission for the current sign is clarified, as there does not appear to be a relevant AR application viewable on the planning portal despite the sign’s visual intrusion into the public realm of the Bath conservation area and World Heritage site.
