Flat 1, 5 Norfolk Buildings, Kingsmead, Bath
5 Norfolk Buildings forms part of a Grade II early 19th century terrace situated within the Bath conservation area and World Heritage Site. The terrace is comparatively modest in scale and design but is a typical example of Bath’s Georgian material and architectural vernacular. It forms the backland setting of the earlier Grade II* Norfolk Crescent.
We are supportive of the proposed removal of modern gypsum plaster and re-plastering in a more permeable lime-based alternative to enable the natural characteristics of the historic fabric. The holistic approach to existing damp issues using a combination of heating and passive ventilation is also welcomed.
