Our Response BPT accepts the principle of felling trees that have been sufficiently demonstrated to be dead or in an irreversibly poor condition. We strongly encourage felling works to be accompanied by the proportionate replacement planting of native species where necessary as part of a rolling programme of future maintenance, particularly in areas of significant tree coverage or high landscape value, as well as reinforcing the existing ecological value of the site.
