Change of use from (Use Class C3) dwellinghouse to (Use Class C4) (HMO) 6-bed house in multiple occupation with the erection of a single-storey rear extension.
Our Response BPT does not object to the material changes proposed to this suburban property. However, we would like to strongly emphasise that the close, pedestrian proximity of facilities such as St Michael’s Junior School and First Steps Twerton make this an attractive and appropriate property for families. A change of use to a HMO would not serve the local demand for housing in this area and would result in the loss of suitable family accommodation. Approval of this application would maintain an undesirable precedent and should therefore be resisted.
