2 Norfolk Buildings, Kingsmead, Bath
2 Norfolk Buildings forms part of a Grade II early 19th century terrace situated within the Bath conservation area and World Heritage Site. The terrace is comparatively modest in scale and design but is a typical example of Bath’s Georgian material and architectural vernacular. It forms the backland setting of the earlier Grade II* Norfolk Crescent.
The proposed plans appear to be incomplete regarding the inclusion of the first floor within the scheme, which are annotated as ‘not surveyed’ in contrast to the other floors. It is uncertain as to how this would be included within the scheme. We suggest that the case officer asks for further details regarding its current and proposed use for the benefit of clarifying the proposed extent of changes to a Grade II building.
