Proposal
Proposed removal of existing Baxi boiler and hot water cylinder and replacement with new modern, combination pattern style boiler. Demolition of existing sheds within rear garden area.
Our Response Where the proposed flue would be inserted through the rear elevation of the building, this would be of some, limited visibility from Gladstone Rod. The flue should be of a cream or buff colour to be more recessive in colour against the Bath stone façade. Alternately a colour that matches existing examples of RWPs already in situ may be considered to ensure a coherent appearance and finish. Where possible, we recommend any fixings or new openings are concentrated on the mortared joints between the stonework to minimise as far as possible the irreversible loss of historic stonework.
