Our Response Despite precedents within this row, possibly unauthorised, for the alteration of a front dormer, the appealing Victorian form and detail of this dormer and others within this row means that this dormer should be retained in its original form and not enlarged. The terrace itself with its ramped string course and detailing, including the traditional front dormers, should be regarded as a non-designated heritage asset that makes a positive contribution to the conservation area, and to the streetscene and its character should be preserved.
