External alterations to replace the existing broken door entry panel with a new panel to a similar aesthetic and size.
Our Response We strongly recommend that the existing fixing points are reused where possible to minimise the need for further drill holes and associated, irreversible loss of historic stonework. Where possible, the use of a non-reflective, neutral finish is preferred to ensure that the entry panel remains a recessive addition to the façade of a Grade I listed building; this should be specified as part of the application rather than being left to Condition.
