Erection of detached double garage.

Our Response

Due to the suburban context of the site, and the existence of suitable hedgerow screening, BPT is not commenting on the erection of a new double garage.

However, we would like to support the choice of solar slates for the garage roof. In light of the current Climate Emergency, we encourage the integration of micro renewables into commercial, residential, communal, and historic developments to provide low carbon or carbon neutral solutions to energy generation and consumption.

We would like to emphasise our interest in the potential for solar slates to be sensitively integrated in other sites in Bath, although the suitability of this measure remains dependent on assessment on a case-by-case basis. Should this application be consented, we would consequently encourage the performance of the tiles to be monitored and recorded for the benefit of future projects.
