Alteration and extension of parking area (resubmission).
Our Response It is not clear from submitted plans (no elevation is included) or narrative whether the railings and stone plinth to the front boundary are to be retained or not. Our position is: if the proposals involve the loss of the legible and traditional boundary treatment (pillars, wall and railings) then our previous objection still stands. If the proposal involves the moving of just one pillar and the retention of the railings and stone plinth in their current position, this would be acceptable. The distinct character of this road is for front gardens to be bounded by a variety of walls, railings etc, and interrupted by single driveways, but not for the total loss of the front garden and boundary treatment to parking and/or hard landscaping.
