Our Response

Comment: Whilst we find this scheme largely acceptable subject to officer assessment, we would comment that the scheme by virtue of its height (in particular the 4 storey element) runs the risk of being over-dominant in the townscape and in particular having an overbearing effect on Albert Terrace and other domestic scale terraces in the area. In addition we agree with the Conservation Officer comments that the use of rubblestone and other rustic materials within the Bath palette besides ashlar and stark render could well help it achieve a more comfortable assimilation with the townscape.
