Proposal
Addition of wires and dental course to the parapet.
Our Response

4-8 South Parade is a series of Grade I terraced dwellings within the core of the Bath conservation area and World Heritage site. It contributes to a dense cluster of Grade I terraces along Duke Street, designed by John Wood the Elder as an incomplete example of monumental Georgian architecture and plan form intended to be the new Royal Forum.

Whilst BPT has some concerns regarding how the implementation of bird deterrent measures will affect the façade of a listed building, we appreciate the use of pigeon wire as a more discreet solution that will help to minimise material and aesthetic damage associated with bird fouling.

However, we are unsure as to how the current application differs from previous proposals (see application 17/02565/LBA). It would be helpful to clarify what aspects of bird prevention adaptations have been altered, added, or removed within the D&A Statement to enable the Trust to formulate a fully-informed assessment of the application.
