External alterations to install traditional lanterns into existing lantern standards (retrospective).

Our Response

Whilst we regret the retrospective nature of this application which effectively limits the opportunity for informed pre-application discussions on the appropriate design of these lanterns (given they have already been produced at some expense), we acknowledge the depth of detail that was considered prior to their manufacture. We question whether the Prussian spike detail on the top is appropriate as this references a high Victorian style. We would have preferred to see a more simple design similar to those outside the Pump Rooms.
