Change of Use of premises from Cafe (Use Class A3) to Offices (Use Class B1) to provide ancillary studio space.

Our Response

9-10 Seven Dials forms part of a 1970s development within the Seven Dials Triangle at the core of the Bath conservation area and World Heritage site.

BPT supports the proposed Change of Use from A3 to B1 to enable the current occupation of the space by the applicant. We encourage the use of vacant commercial spaces to enliven Bath’s streetscape, and feel that this site is of particular visual significance due to its position at the pedestrian entranceway into the central Seven Dials’ courtyard. Therefore, we would like to see this space reused, and feel that this would be a positive contribution to Bath’s social, economic, and aesthetic character.
