Conversion of the ground floor car park to form additional office space.

Our Response

The Trust has no comments on the proposed conversion but we do wonder whether there is a better solution to the arch infill than the asymmetric aluminium glazed framed screen given the sensitive historic location. Given this archway has the look (albeit not original) of a mews stable arch, perhaps a neat timber gate arrangement with shuttered inset windows is more appropriate (for an example see the Mytton Williams building on Daniel Mews).
