4 Cambridge Place, Widcombe Hill, Widcombe

4 Cambridge Place is a Grade II late Georgian villa situated within the Bath conservation area and World Heritage site. The proposed changes are to the eastern late 19th century wing which extends to the rear of the house.

We would encourage all details regarding the proposed repairs to the existing building (“selective replacement of rotten timbers in the windows, facias and soffits around the eaves, repair of the lead-lined gutters, repair and replacement of the rainwater goods, repainting and draught stripping”) to be included as part of this application, rather than added as a Condition or a FUL application. We feel that the suitability of this application, with regards to changes to the appearance of a listed building, cannot be fully considered by the LPA without a full provision of a schedule of repairs.
