External alterations to include decoration of existing dark green timber storefront and existing timber blade sign. Installation of black and white vinyl fascia sign and blade sign. Replace awning with grey fabric.

Our Response

We do not consider the use of inferior acrylic and vinyl acceptable in the conservation area and on a listed building. In the interest of sustaining and enhancing the character and appearance of the conservation area and listed building, and protecting the visual amenity value of this part of the city centre, we would recommend that the signage is traditionally painted on to the fascia and hanging sign.
