Minor internal alterations to all floors to enable reconfiguration of dental practice. External installation of low-level vent grille in rear courtyard elevation at basement level.

Our Response

15A Charlotte Street forms part of a Grade II Georgian terrace situated in the Bath conservation area and World Heritage site.

With regards to the proposed refurbishment of the rear basement window, the Heritage Statement acknowledges that the basement is the area of the property that has had the least alterations made to it, and therefore an area of high likelihood to maintain some original historic features. Therefore, it would be beneficial to provide some more information regarding how the rear window contributes to the basement’s original material significance, and further details on proposed refurbishment works, particularly if it is discovered that further repair works are needed to the glazing or timber frame.
