External alterations for the replacement of stonework.
Our Response There is not enough detail within this application to be able to fully judge the works to reinstate the stonework. The applicant has not mentioned which conservation stone mason they propose to employ and in our view a method statement with stone survey should be submitted with the application. The proposed piecing-in looks to be quite random in that it repairs some areas and leaves other degraded areas in situ, which may look odd and therefore harm the significance of the listed building.
