Rec Consultation

Home Issues Rec Consultation
`

The Trust has issued an ‘open letter’ following the presentation by Bath Rugby of their proposals for the Rec. In summary, while Bath Preservation Trust supports the intention of Bath Rugby to substantially improve their facilities at the Rec, and supports at least the concept of the design solution proposed,  there are serious concerns about excessive height of the proposed West and East Stands causing significant detriment to the landscape setting of the site and the views into, out of and across the ground. They recommend that significant further negotiation needs to take place between Bath Rugby and  B&NES, English Heritage and other partners in order to achieve the best outcome for all.
