Committee Structure
The Finance Committee brings together the Chairs of all committees, together with additional advisors, to lead on financial governance including annual setting of budgets, review of monthly management accounts, monitoring of performance of the Trust’s investments, overview of the external audit, and supervision of the Trust’s property portfolio, staffing and heath and safety.

The Architecture & Planning Committee is an expert group of advisers from relevant planning, architecture, heritage and surveying backgrounds. The group, in conjunction with staff, review, consult and advise on the Trust’s position on planning applications, development pre-applications and general issues regarding planning, heritage and development within Bath. Environs Sub-Committee
Chair – Robert Hellard (Trustee), attended by representatives of all the Parish Councils which border the city boundary and advised by regional representatives of the CPRE, the Cotswold Conservation Board, and National Trust.
The Museums and Education Committee provides strategic oversight, advice and leadership in the development of BPT’s museums, collections, archives and library and the public benefit derived from museum activity, in particular, all learning activity. The committee strives to do this in a way that raises standards and ambitions and creates a positive cultural environment for all staff and volunteers.
