External & internal alterations to include erection of a single storey rear Home Extension & associated building services works.
Our Response Comment: We are concerned regarding the impact of the proposed extended extension in long views and also with regards to potential lightspill. The extent of hard stepped landscaping combined with the design/enlargement of the addition with the extent of door glazing may mean that the proposal would intrude and dominate in long views of the rear of this important crescent from nearby vantage points. It is difficult to know how visible it will be given the sloping nature of the site and without a site visit. Whilst we have no concerns regarding a contemporary approach, the applicant should provide further assessment of visual impact and examine the possibility that the proposal is lacking in subservience to the principal building.
