Our Response We see the proposals as a retrograde step – the loss of the cat-slide roof would be harmful to the character of this part of the road which is distinguished by the particular and unusual front roof profiles of the dwellings. There are examples of extensions along the row – including next door - that do provide additional accommodation but do not harm the special built character and the streetscape rhythm created by the cat slide roofs.
