Volunteering
Volunteers at the Building of Bath Museum provide invaluable service in a variety of ways. Our front of house Volunteers are visitors’ first point of contact with the Museum, so have an important PR role. They have the opportunity to work on Museum admissions and shop sales, enquiries and research. Behind the scenes work might include assistance with exhibitions, slide collections, library stock, administration or other one-off projects.
Volunteers are entitled to the following benefits and privileges:
- Complimentary individual membership. This includes newsletters, calendar of events, invitations to exhibition openings, reduced fees for museum tours, lectures, and other public programmes.
- Discounts in the Museum Shop.
- An annual excursion, expenses paid for by the Museum.
How to Apply
No particular credentials or experience is required to become a Volunteer. However, it is desirable that applicants have an interest in the subject areas covered by the Museum’s mission as well as a willingness to work with staff, visitors and other Volunteers in communicating that mission through a variety of activities.
